Here’s a practical takeaway from a recent client experience: Process Documentation is the Most Pivotal Part of Automating with AI.

My field efforts taught me three critical lessons:

1. Know Your Data: Automating bad data makes bad decisions faster. Clean your data first. AI performance depends entirely on input quality.

2. Understand Your Processes: AI cannot fix a broken process. Before automating, fix inefficiencies manually first. Remove complexity.

3. Document Your Processes Fully: Automation fails without clear instructions. Document every step completely. Then, validate the document matches reality. This ensures the AI gets a reliable blueprint.
